Human rights chief warns against UK boycott

Report of a EUObserver interview with Thorbjorn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, March 2011. He warned that if the United Kingdom boycotted the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) in Strasbourg as it had suggested it might it could start a chain reaction with other members states that would 'undermine' the Court and the European Convention on Human Rights.
