Accurate, comprehensive and exhaustive information is not only an employer's duty towards workers but also a prerequisite for carrying out the compulsory risk assessment and laying down preventive and protective measures against these risks. The majority of Europe's enterprises, mainly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), lack either the information or the knowledge to make use of it. This report describes 19 initiatives addressing the existing information gap.
