How EU Policies Help Preserve and Create Jobs

The European Union’s structural and cohesion policies promote the economic, social and territorial cohesion of the EU by supporting job creation, competitiveness, research, innovation and sustainable development and by improving the quality of life of EU citizens. Beyond this several EU programmes finance projects which address shared European challenges such as skills deficits in the workforce, school education, and adult learning to match labour market needs.
