The French president's office confirmed on 3 January 2015 changes regarding the governments's involvement in European affairs. France abolished the position of Advisor for European Affairs and reshuffled its agencies dealing with European affairs, moving some EU competences from the President’s office to the government. The French president's Advisor on European Affairs, Philippe Leglise-Costa, left his position to take up the role of Secretary General for European Affairs (SGAE), integrating Manuel Valls' government. |
