This publication, prepared by the Department of Documentation and Information of the Technical Secretariat General, explains the main features of Spain's agrofood sector and rural environment within a Community context. A brief account is offered of the background and current situation of the subject on a national and autonomous community level and, whenever statistical sources so permit, comparisons are made with the other countries of the European Union.
