Health and Safety at Work Brief:
Gregg Myles, the author of the excellent four-volume encyclopedia of the European Union called EU Brief, which is updated annually, has published a new title called 'Health and Safety at Work Brief'. This new source aims to describe the current status of health and safety legislation in the UK. Much of the legislation is affected by EU legislation in this area and the title gives full details of the EU dimension.

In two looseleaf volumes comprising some 750 pages, the author explains the law, practice and policy of current health and safety legislation in a user-friendly format by subject matter and numbered paragraphs. Information given includes explanations of the relevant Acts, Regulations, Directives, Enforcement, Working Time, Employer's and Occupier's Liability. Reference is made to appropriate Approved Codes of Practice and Guidance Notes, case law and Health and Safety Executive sources. The second binder comprises an Appendix reproducing the legislative texts of key Acts and Regulations.

As with EU Brief, the author will annually issue a completely new set of pages to ensure that the text is always up-to-date.
