EurActiv reported on 13 February 2015 on the implications the 13-point ceasefire agreement reached in Minsk on the day before might bring to finding out and punishing those responsible for shooting down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17) on 17 July 2014. The incident killed all 283 passengers and 15 crew on board.

The MH17 repatriation mission, in its current form, concluded in April 2015. A Hercules transport aircraft of the Dutch air force brought the last coffins with human remains to the Netherlands. This was announced on the 30 April 2015 in The Hague by Pieter-Jaap Aalbersberg, the mission leader.
