Greece fulfilled the last of the conditions it needed to secure the tranche of money from the EU and International Monetary Fund (IMF), putting an end to weeks of internal dispute over yet more austerity measures.

Deputies in the Greek parliament adopted a new tax code on 25 July 2013 and included an amendment that wraped up the details of a controversial plan to put thousands of civil servants into a 'redeployment' scheme.
