Gov’t outlines crisis plan for immigrants

The Greek government set out on the 14 April 2015 the framework of an emergency plan to deal with an increased influx of immigrants into the country.

Greece, like other Southern European / Mediterranean countries such as Malta and Italy, were facing substantial pressures from thousands of migrants attempting to gain access into Europe via their countries. All these countries sought the EU as a whole to take a greater responsibility for the crisis.
