The targets approved by energy ministers this week vary wildly for each member state, with Austria - which already produces 70% of its electricity through renewables - agreeing to increase this to 78%, and the UK - which currently only gets 2% of its electricity supply from sources such as solar and wind power - signing up to a 10% target.
