Summary:Drawing on an integrated analysis of the latest European Union (EU) economic and financial governance reforms in the 2020s, we glean a new European economic governance paradigm. The article focuses particularly on the set of policies adopted by two key actors in European economic and financial sector governance – the European Commission and the European Central Bank (ECB) – to advance the ‘green transition’ toward a carbon neutral EU economy by 2050. |
