Glenys Kinnock trapped in Solomons fighting

Glenys Kinnock, the UK Labour MEP who is leading a peace-brokering mission to the Solomon Islands, was trapped in her hotel on 6.6.00 less than a mile from the fighting between rival rebels. She and fellow MEP John Corrie had been attempting to make it clear to those promoting the conflict that the economy of the Solomon Islands depends for 25% of its GDP on the support of the EU.
