Germany Shoots Self in the Foot with Eastern European Worker Ban

A report published in June 2009 by two heavyweight economic think tanks, the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) and the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA), says Germany is missing the boat on EU expansion. It warns that restrictive immigration rules are preventing Europe's largest economy from profiting from the EU's newest members.
