German defence minister denies plagiarism

Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg, Germany’s most popular politician, was caught in a political storm in February 2011 following allegations of plagiarism in his 2006 law dissertation from the University of Bayreuth. On the 23 February 2011 the university stripped Mr Guttenberg of the doctorate.
