Germany's cabinet endorsed 28 May 2003 two core elements of Chancellor Gerhard Schröder's controversial economic reform package. The draft laws - on reducing costs and increasing efficiency in the health sector and on removing employment barriers in craft-based industries - reflected the government's determination to pursue structural reforms, said Wolfgang Clement, economics and labour minister.
