DW and other news sources reported shares in Germany's biggest bank, Deutsche Bank, took a further hit on the 25 September 2016 following reports that the troubled lender had been refused state aid. Deutsche Bank, however, insisted it did not need any help from the German government. The Guardian reported that there were mounting fears over the banks ability to pay large potential fines imposed by US regulators for mis-selling mortgage bonds between 2005 and 2007. |
