Georgia OSCE monitor talks stall

The Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Europe's security body, said on the 18 September 2008 that talks have broken down with Russia on sending more international monitors to Georgia.

In December 2008 the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe said it would close its mission in Georgia early in 2009 because of Russian opposition.
