Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs): The authorisation process for cultivation

The European Commission has proposed changes to the way Genetically Modified Organisms are authorised for cultivation within the EU. The proposals are currently being considered by the EU institutions. This Research Note summarises both the current process and the proposed changes.
