The General Council of the (United Kingdom) Trades Union Congress issued a statement on Brexit on the 10 September 2018 at the time of the holding of the TUC Congress in Manchester, 9-12 September 2018. Frances O'Grady, TUC General Secretary, said that there was a growing risk of crashing out of the EU without a deal. The TUC set three tests that any Brexit deal had to meet: + protecting jobs The TUC had no confidence in Theresa May’s ability to deliver a deal that met those tests. She warned Theresa May, the UK Prime Minister that if her Brext deal did not meet these tests, the TUC would throw its weight behind the call for a vote on the terms of Brexit. |
