Gazprom steps up Ukraine gas war

The energy stand-off between Gazprom and Ukraine escalated on the 4 March 2008 as officials in Kiev warned that gas supplies to Europe could be hit if the Russian side went ahead with threats to cut shipments to Ukraine by more than half.
