At the 2011 European Satellite Navigation Competition, the European GNSS Supervisory Authority (GSA) awarded the Galileo Master grand prize to the California-based start-up company Making Virtual Solid (MVS). The GSA Special Topics Prize went to CATUAV, a small company based in Catalonia. Also, for the first time, the Galileo Masters competition shared its stage with the new Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES) Masters competition. The Deforest ACTION Earth Watchers project, submitted by the Dutch company Geodan, was unveiled as the first overall winner of this new competition. |
