French National Front ‘implicated’ in Panama Papers

French newspaper Le Monde reported in April 2016 that several close contacts of the Le Pen family had been implicated in the Panama Papers. According to the source, these aides had set up a 'sohisticated offshore system' to hide money.

The party was among the vocal critics of Europe's failure to tackle tax havens during the debate on the scandal held by the European Parliament, insisting it had supported 'all proposals relating to tax' at the European level.
