France ‘committed to EU’, says PM

French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin said France is committed to the European project despite voters' rejection of the EU constitution. In his first policy speech since being appointed, June 2005, Mr de Villepin is setting out his plans to sort out the French economy and a country split by the referendum.
