France and Italy call for permanent eurozone president

France and Italy called on the 20 November 2013 for Eurozone finance ministers to have a full-time chairman after the European Parliament elections in May 2014.

The two countries have also defended that the Eurozone needed to complete its banking union and set up a joint borrowing mechanism to finance investment.
