Article reports that Wolfgang Schäuble, Germany’s Finance Minister, would attend a full French cabinet meeting in July 2010 in a push to forge a common French and German front on proposals for eurozone governance.

In a series of meetings in Paris, Mr Schäuble would attempt to reconcile deep differences between France and Germany on a number of issues, including tough penalties for fiscal indiscipline, and German ideas for an 'orderly insolvency procedure' for eurozone states that cannot pay their debts.
