The European Commission gave its approval on 10 July 2002 to Agriculture Commissioner Franz Fischler's blueprint for reforming the Common Agricultural Policy. The Commission made almost no changes to the proposals, but European Agriculture Ministers are not expected to give the plans such a smooth ride when they meet to discuss the issue on 15 July 2002. |
