Financial stability and depositor protection: Cross-border challenges and responses

This document identifies some of the new challenges for global financial stability and presents possible responses to them, referring where possible to initiatives already underway at an international level - in the European Union (EU), the G7, the Financial Stability Forum (FSF), the International Monetary Fund (IMF)and the G20. In so doing, it draws on analysis and lessons from the UK's own experience of dealing with financial market turbulence.
