Farmers ‘need business advice rather than grants’

The (UK) National Audit Office (NAO) issued a report on 16 September 2004, 'Helping farm businesses in England', which argues that farmers need better business advice rather than grants to help them adjust to the reform of European Union agricultural subsidies.
