Summary: This publication presents the results of an in-depth analysis of the attitudes of young Europeans from Austria, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia towards the European Union. The study is based on a representative opinion poll of respondents aged 15-24 years, giving them the opportunity to share their views on the current state of the European integration process and its key challenges and questions. The majority of youth see many benefits of EU membership and opt for staying in the EU and working to reform it. However, there is also a strong ambiguity in the respondents’ views on societal trends and values, such as democracy and multiculturalism or globalization and migration. |
