Reports of a European Counter-Summit organised by the European Parliament's Europe of Nations and Freedom political group held in Koblenz, Germany on the 21 January 2017 under the theme Freedom for Europe. The aim was to allow the national leaders of populist right political parties in countries such as Austria, France, Germany, Italy and the Netherlands to raise their profiles and to attempt to show a united front in a year when there would be a series of key national parliamentary / presidential elections in various key European countries. |
