EU’s largest ever education in emergencies programme in Turkey reaches first refugee families

On 8 June 2017 European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management Christos Stylianides attended the launch event of the Conditional Cash Transfer for Education project.

The CCTE aims to support the integration of refugee children into the existing national education programme in Turkey. The CCTE programme builds on the expertise of the Turkish Ministry of Family and Social Policy and the Ministry of National Education, with the support of the Turkish Directorate General for Migration Management and coordinated by the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD).
