The User survey has been conducted every two years since 2002 with the aim to receive qualitative feedback from a large contingent of Europol’s users on the products and services provided by Europol.

The 2016 survey was conducted from 17 October to 7 November 2016. 1,377 users were invited to participate. 636 replies were received, representing a response rate of 46% which is 6 points above the participation rate in 2014.

75% of the respondents represented authorities of an EU Member State, 9% represented authorities of a non-EU Member State, 7% represented an EU agency or international organisation and 9% were from the private sector or other types of organisations (e.g. universities, non-profit organisations, etc).
