The European Medicines Agency (EMA), on 1 June 2011, responded to an online article, published by the British Medical Journal (BMJ) on 25 May 2011, which called for better reporting of the outcome of clinical trials in European public assessment reports (EPARs). The Agency's letter, which was published on the BMJs website, explains that transparency of its scientific discussions has been a priority since the Agency's establishment in 1995.
