Total lending in the period 2001-2005 came to EUR 3.1bn, reflecting the Bank’s commitment to supporting the country’s economic development as it prepares for EU membership. Beneficiaries of EIB funds include the public and private sectors: central and local government, local banks and industry as well as foreign investors.
