European Innovation Scoreboard The fifth European Innovation Scoreboard has now been published at {http://www.trendchat.org/scoreboards/scoreboard2005/index.cfm}. The methodology report explains changes to the process and the indicators used. Sweden, Finland and Switzerland lead the performance tables but the gap between the EU and the United States has not closed. The site is clearly laid out with easy access from the menu to sections such as Scoreboard papers, executive summary, five key dimensions, economic performance, sector scoreboards, the gap with the US and Japan, and convergence, as well as a technical annex and tables. Data can be accessed by country map which codes overall performance by colour. Common Fisheries Scoreboard It seems to be the time of year for publicising scoreboards as the Common Fisheries Policy scoreboard - in this case the third one - has also been issued. It reviews areas such as catch reporting, quotas, fleets, structural aid, environmental issues and infringements.
