The European Commission sent in February 2010 a Statement of Objections to a number of companies concerning their alleged participation in price-fixing cartels in the air freight forwarding business in violation of the EU antitrust rules (Article 101 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union – TFEU - and Article 53 of the Agreement on the European Economic Area).

Freight forwarding consists of organising the transport of goods along with related activities such as customs clearance, warehousing and ground services.
