[European elections 2014 in the United Kingdom: Results] UKIP clinch European elections victory, Lib Dems plunge

The UK Independence Party won the EU election in the UK, according to the results of the poll which took place on the 22 May 2014. The party led by Nigel Farage scored 27.5% of the votes, higher than the 25.4% obtained by the Labour Party. The Liberal Democrats got the biggest defeat, losing 10 of the 11 seats from the previous election.
