The Irish Minister of State for European Affairs, Lucinda Creighton, appeared before the Oireachtas Joint Committee on European Union Affairs on 7 July 2011 to discuss priorities in European Affairs. The Minister discussed with the Committee the role of the Oireachtas, the progress the Government was making on re-engaging with its European partners, her priorities for the year ahead, and the preparations for the 2013 Presidency. Presetations were also made to the Committee by Francis Jacobs, head of the European Parliament information office in Ireland, and Barbara Nolan, head of the European Commission Representation in Ireland. |
