This programme is the third of its kind, following the 2004-2006 Active European Citizenship programme and the 2007-2013 Europe for Citizens Programme. As the current programme underwent a number of changes and adjustments, including a reduction in funding, a first examination of its functioning and implementation seems appropriate. Against this background, this European Implementation Assessment therefore seeks to provide an initial assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of the Europe for Citizens Programme 2014-2020 under the new structure, and presents some preliminary findings and recommendations in this context. |
