Europe at the crossroads!

Europe's Constitution-building exercise is facing challenges thrown up as part of the very democratic process the document aims to uphold. The DOSEI research project has kept tabs on Europe's progress towards legal consolidation through a Constitution and recently reported its findings in Brussels. DOSEI (Domestic Structures and European Integration) is an international research project studying the multi-stage nature of the constitution building process in the European Union by using a multi-stage two-level-analysis framework. The results of the project will be published in 2006 in a book 'Policy-making Processes and the European Constitution: A Comparative Study of Member States and Accession Countries'
