Ministers from European countries with General Motors' plants, and European Commission officials met with GM officials, Brussels, 13 March 2009 to discuss the crisis facing the US-owned car maker.

European governments feel they have been presented with a choice between letting the US company’s overseas operations fail, putting hundreds of thousands of jobs in jeopardy, or bailing out an unsustainable business.
