Eurogroup meeting, 16 June 2016

A meeting of the Eurogroup was held in Luxembourg on 16 June 2016. The agenda included the following items:

+ Exchange of views on inflation and exchange rate developments in the euro area over the previous six months, based on an assessment by the European Central Bank (ECB) and the European Commission;

+ Discussion on long-term risks to the sustainability of euro area member states' pension systems;

+ Presentation by the IMF Director Christine Lagarde on the outcome of the IMF Article IV review of the situation, outlook and policies as regards the euro area;

+ Adoption of the Eurogroup's work programme for the second half of 2016.
