Euro warning for finance ministers

European Finance Ministers were given a warning on at the Ecofin Council, Brussels, 17.7.00 that preparations to introduce euro notes and coins at the beginning of 2002 are inadequate. The warning comes from the European Commission, which says that more needs to be done to prepare the public and smaller companies for the changeover.
