Euro MPs face expenses cut

Members of the European Parliament are to be offered a new system of remuneration designed to eliminate their notorious allowances claims. The current system allows some to claim tens of thousands of pounds a year without having to prove they have actually incurred the expenses. The new package will, however, increase the salaries of most MEPs.
