EU to Cut Car Emissions After Industry Wrangling

A compromise agreement to reduce CO2 emissions from new vehicles was reached on the 1st December 2008 following trialogue discussions between the EU Institutions, amid pressure from the car industry, which is currently being weighed down by the economic recession.
