EU terrorist targets

The Commission on Tuesday proposed new measures to identify and protect key potential terrorist targets in the EU. The list of sites must remain confidential but the Commission said areas to be given special attention included transport, energy, water and communications technology.

The European Commission has delayed adopting a proposal aimed at cleaning up member states’ patchwork of different rules for copyright levies on blank recording media and digital music file players such as Apple’s iPod.
