The European Union's Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) is one of the macro-regional strategies set up by the European Commission (EC) to address common challenges and encourage cooperation between regions from different countries in Europe. Following a request from the European Council in December 2013, the Strategy was proposed by the European Commission in July 2015. This Strategy was jointly developed by the EC, together with the countries and stakeholders in the region. It seeks to create synergies and coordination between existing policies and initiatives taking place across the area. + European Commission launches the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region, July 2015 Related topics: Other EU Strategies devoted to 'macro-regions': + EU Strategy for the Danube Region |
