EU resists call to impose curbs on Chinese textile imports

Article reports on comments by Peter Mandelson, the European Union's Commissioner for Trade, who resisted pressure to introduce immediate restrictions on Chinese textile imports, insisting that inconclusive trade data meant the EU could not justify curbs for the time being, 6 April 2005.
