The Welsh Brexit blog aims to inform and encourage constructive debate and analysis on issues relating to Wales and the UK's exit of the European Union. Dr Rachel Minto charts the 12 months of the Welsh Brexit journey from June 2016 until June 2017, and considers what progress has been made thus far and what comes next for Wales. The article formed part of a wider volume from The UK in a Changing Europe / PSA called EU Referendum: One Year On, June 2017. Also published in this volume is an article by Jo Hunt called EU Referendum: One year on – The repatriation of competences and republished by the Welsh Brexit Blog. She looks at how the debate around the repatriation of EU powers as a result of Brexit has developed in from June 2016 until June 2017 and suggests that growing concern among devolved nations that there will be a Westminster ‘power grab’, has resulted in the UK Government going into the negotiations with disunity at home. |
