EU may bin new recycling rules amid intense lobbying

European lawmakers and waste management experts met in Strasbourg on the 24 October 2013 to discuss a controversial proposal to change the legal definition of waste, a move industry says would heavily damage the EU’s lucrative paper recycling sector.
